Second Grade Teacher
I am the new second grade teacher, and I feel so fortunate to work at such a wonderful friendly school. I thank God every day as I drive to work for sending me here. I moved to Mississippi in 1973. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1982. I have a Master Degree in Education from William Carey College, and a Master Degree in Counseling from the University of Southern Mississippi. I am also Certified to Teach the Gifted, and I am a NBCC - National Board Certified Counselor, NCSC - National Certified School Counselor, and NCC - National Certified Counselor. I retired from public school with thrity-one years experience. I am in my thirty-fifth year of teaching. I always had the philosophy of making learning fun, and I try to do it every day. I believe the formative years of a child shape their opinion and belief about school and education. I try to teach the students to have a positive attitude toward life and to love God. The choices you make today will shape your life forever.
